Home advantage in soccer – A matter of expectations,goal setting and tactical decisions of coaches?

In soccer, home teams win about 67% of decided games. The causes for this home advantage are still unresolved. There is a shortage of research on the psychological states of actors involved. In this study, we examined soccer coaches’ expectations, goal setting and tactical decisions in relation to game location. Soccer coaches (N = 297) with different expertise levels participated in an experimental, online management game and were randomly assigned to one of two groups, “home game (HG)” or “away game.” Participants received information on the game for which they were asked to make decisions in multiple points. The only differing information between groups was game location. Regardless of expertise, HG coaches had higher expectations to win, set more challenging goals and decided for more offensive and courageous playing tactics. Possible consequences of these findings concerning home advantage in soccer are discussed.  相似文献   

Informing in-season tactical periodisation in team sport: development of a match difficulty index for Super Rugby

In team sports, tactical periodisation refers to the planned manipulation of training loads with the aim of prioritising athlete readiness for matches of greatest importance. Although monitoring of athletes’ physical condition is often used to inform this planning, the direct influence of external factors on match difficulty has not been well quantified. In this study, a ‘match difficulty index’ (MDI) for use in Super Rugby was developed, based on the influence imparted by five external factors on previous match outcomes. Specifically, information relating to match location, days break between matches, time-zone change and opposition ladder position (both current and previous year) were collected for matches played during the 2011–2013 Super Rugby seasons. Logistic regression analyses were used to assess the importance of each of these factors with respect to match outcome (win/loss), with opposition ladder position and match location (home, domestic away or international) exerting the greatest influence on match difficulty. Three separate cross-validated models were constructed, with match outcome classification performance reported as 66.2%, 65.5% and 63.7% respectively. The three MDI models emanating from this study can each be used to inform tactical periodisation program design both prior to and during the regular season.  相似文献

目标设置教学模式是将冰上课的总体教学目标分解、细化成每一节冰上课的课时目标,学生们在教学中目标明确,热情高涨,会较为顺利地掌握冰上技能.对绥化学院的学生在冰上课中进行目标设置教学模式的教学实验,结果显示教学效果显著.总结出激发学生学习兴趣和自觉性、利于学生获得成功体验和促进学生运动技能的形成等积极效应;并提出目标设置要明确、适度、合理,教师要及时监督、反馈,教学中要合理评价、适时激励等目标设置教学模式中应注意的问题,为冰上课教学改革提供参考依据.  相似文献   

地方政府竞争对城市用地扩张的传导机制研究——以广东省为例

本文以广东省为例,利用2007-2012年设区市层面的面板数据,采用面板数据因果检验及回归分析等计量经济学分析工具,实证分析了地方政府竞争对城市用地扩张的传导机制。研究结果表明地方政府竞争对城市用地扩张的影响是通过如下四层逻辑关系进行传导的:1地方政府进行竞争的过程中,存在工业用地低价出让的行为;2地方政府工业用地低价出让具备引资功能;3资本净流入存在如下溢出效应:固定资产投资增加、经济增长、人口聚集、商住用地出让金增加;4资本流入的溢出效应对城市用地扩张具有明显正向作用。基于以上逻辑关系,认为固定资产投资增加、经济增长、人口聚集、商住用地出让金增加等溢出效应是城市用地扩张的表层原因,根本原因是迫使地方政府进行竞争的制度因素。  相似文献

含残次品及价格折扣的双层延期支付策略研究

考虑含有部分残次品的三级供应链模型。在该模型中,供应商和零售商均采用延期支付策略,供应商为先支付一部分货款的零售商提供一个价格折扣。基于极大化零售商的利润建立了零售商的库存模型,同时给出了寻求最优补货决策和最佳货款支付方式的算法,并通过数值算例来说明模型的有效性。  相似文献   

《食品质量与安全专业导论》课程设置及实施效果分析

以北京城市学院2014级食品质量与安全专业学生为样本,进行两次关于《食品质量与安全专业导论》课程设置及实施情况的调查,包括学生基本情况、课程期望、课程收获三个方面。结果显示本课程的教学内容和教学形式与学生的课程期望吻合,学生学有所获。针对本次调查集中反应出的问题,建议继续优化教学内容的课时比例,继续探索灵活的教学形式,将有利于进一步提高教学效果。  相似文献
